I used to work for the (now defunct) Public Lighting Department in the early '70's. Our crews had similar experiences on an all too regular basis.

It's hard to win an argument with an armed robber when you are in a teeny-weenie little bucket up in the air. No place to run, no place to hide...

Working too many hours, focused more on getting enough sleep + routine maintenance of family, home, and cars = little time for posting.

The irony is if you legally carry a gun as a DTE employee, wuith a State of Michigan permit, DTE will fire you.

But if you lose all your stuff, they will not indemnify you.

I hope the CEO of DTE gets robbed, maybe they will change the policy.
