Anyone use a cell repeater?
I live out in the boonies, and get junk for GSM cell signal.
Is anyone using a cell repeater? I figure that I could slap one in the attic and get a few dB of gain. Budget is around $250

Not exactly the same, but I have a Verizon network extender that uses my wifi to make my house a 3G hotspot. It costs 250, but you must be a Verizon customer, and you need decent wifi. There's zero service where I live, this is my only option. Good luck to you.

Years ago, I was interested in a mobile application before cell reception was decent everywhere I traveled. I was considering going with a system from Wilson Electronics but never pursued it to an end.

I think I'm going to try the zBoost (Wilson's competitor) and see how it goes. The zBoost is significantly cheaper than the equivalent Wilson unit. If it doesn't work, back in the box it will go:
