Food stamp images

I got a right wing email from a friend today which featured a picture of a food stamp with Obama on it. Is this for real? Seems like food stamps are a state run thing aren't they? Is Obama on them for real or is it another fake image?

In Nevada it's a debit card. The image I found on google shows it has a picture of a mountain range on it.

All states are SNAP associated these days. However, the Dept of Agriculture still issues a voucher in increments of $5 for produce.

Same here in Ohio its a credit card and at the grocery you just hit EBT (electronic benefits transfer) instead of Credit or Debit. There is also WIC, I am not sure how that works.

The only trouble is he does not realize it is fake and is posting it on Facebook.;)

All over Facebook and everywhere else on the interwebs, it's pretty amusing to see both conservatives and liberals getting "trolled" by their own folks and they don't realize it or even care when someone points out how false the premise of the post was.
