Popeye the sailor lyrics

Today I was humming this to myself and wondered what the words are....turns out you can find about anything on the internet:

I'm Popeye the Sailor Man,
I'm Popeye the Sailor Man.
I'm strong to the finich
Cause I eats me spinach.
I'm Popeye the Sailor Man.

I'm one tough Gazookus
Which hates all Palookas
Wot ain't on the up and square.
I biffs 'em and buffs 'em
And always out roughs 'em
But none of 'em gets nowhere.

If anyone dares to risk my "Fisk",
It's "Boff" an' it's "Wham" un'erstan'?
So keep "Good Be-hav-or"
That's your one life saver
With Popeye the Sailor Man.

I'm Popeye the Sailor Man,
I'm Popeye the Sailor Man.
I'm strong to the finich
Cause I eats me spinach.
I'm Popeye the Sailor Man.

Boop boop!

Bluto or Brutus, who was the better bad guy?
Did Wimpy just lay low on Tuesdays?

Oh Bluto, hands down. Thre was a guy with imagination in his plots against Popeye.

Precursor of Wiley Coyote.

Brutus was weak tea.;)

I never saw what he saw in Olive Oyle but on the other hand he was no catch either!;)

Old Popeye cartoons are really well written and crack me up. The cartoon network aired The Popeye Show a few years back late at night and it gave a history lesson for each cartoon, it was really interesting. Shiver me timbers!

A little known fact:

The Jeep trucks built during WW2 were named after a Popeye character.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugene_the_Jeep

The story is that the little trucks were called GP's because of their General Purpose and the troops, most of whom had read a Popeye comic strip or two, just spelled it Jeep because of its' go anywhere ability.
