Darwin candidate locally

I read in the morning paper that a man 43 years old (old enough to know better) was riding a motorcycle on the interstate without a helmet and texting at the same time.

Impossible you may say, but apparently there were witnesses. He did it successfully apparently for a short while before he ran off the road into the median and was fatally injured.

The police are still investigating.

As a motorcyclist myself, I tend to feel for other motorcyclists who are injured or killed. However, I find myself unable to find any sympathy for this one.

I was driving on the Ohio Turnpike one time and I saw someone reading a book and driving. Not directions or anything like that but an actual couple hundred page book.

It's a long, boring drive-what do you expect them to do?

What's a "morning paper"?

Kidding aside, I get a good laugh from the Darwin Awards.

If you're finding a drive boring, you're probably not going fast enough.

Is that the one on I65? Motorcyclist dies after I-65 crash

Only ways I see is one handed texting since you don't need to clutch and setting the bike on cruise control (screw knob in throttle) and use both hands. That's all I got. Anyone else know how? No, not enough muscles in his weiner to text the right button.

After giving it some thought I suspect he may well have taken both hands off the handlebars to operate his phone. That could be trouble, right there.

No trouble. Killed himself only so life is good, at least for everyone else except him
