The title of the thread has improper usage of punctuation.

Should read: Chinese car. Crumple zones.

TWO statements!

I thought the Chinese cars are meant to be a crumple zone between two other vehicles? Everyone travels around with a Chinese car as a tow vehicle. That way if you get rear ended, your car will be saved.

I thought in a Chinese car the occupants were the crumple zone.

That reminds me of when my 300D got rearended as the front car in a 3 and a half car pile-up (Fourth vehicle lost a mirror to the third. I knew the driver of the third vehicle and he didn't know how that happened.) I was hit by a half-ton Chevy pickup, which was in turn hit by my co-worker in a Nissan pickup. Both trucks left on flatbeds. I drove mine home.

Isn't that called 'pedestrian-friendly' car design?
