I think that might be one of the most incredible things ive watched in a while.
It wasnt what he was trying to put it out with, it was him giving up on the cardboard and just leaving it on top as fuel. I think the cushion or blanket or whatever was even worse, left right on top of the fire. Guy was an epic moron

Amazing how much of that there is in the world. I saw a piece last night about a (formerly) 18 year old fellow's remains being discovered in the chimney of a long vacant cabin in a rural part of CO. He'd been missing for 7 years.
The owner looked in on it now and then and thought the smell was from dead rodents he found. https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=702&v=c_orOT3Prwg This is not the first time this has happened. Hey, if it works for Santa Claus ... I swear, we should establish a national policy for school kids, say around 8 to 10 years old, of illustrating with photos and video what a fireplace flue looks like. Actually thinking that you could get into a house that way indicates, at the very least, that such a person has never had to adjust the flue on a fireplace.

And holy crap, WTF was that breathy baby talk sounding stuff that kept coming in? I'm wondering if it was some kind of phone in porno. Dude looked like he almost had that fire out once or twice. What a trip.
