I like my new car better than my old one.

Don't get me wrong, I miss the 190 but the 2014 C250 just out shines the 190 in every way I can think of except exclusivity. The handling is leaps and bounds ahead of the 190. The steering is tight, the suspension is taught with out being harsh. The power delivery is is strong (not a fan of the turbo lag) and quiet. The transmission is smooth. The ac blows cold. All the tech is integrated very well. The keyless-go is something I never knew I needed. The brake hold is very nifty on long lights.... the list goes on.

I hate seeing my car all over the place which never happened with the 190 but as much as I hate it, I really like the new car.

Well that's nice - good to know Mercedes can still make good ones!

Our replacement for the 190E has twice as much horsepower, can seat twice as much adults comfortably, has ice cold AC front and rear...heck can probably swallow the whole 190E in the back with seats folded down/removed, and still not have any CIS-E issues.

Congrats on your new car! Enjoy it.

The 190e is comically small on the inside. A fiesta is palatial by comparison while running circles around the old 190. So yeah, it doesn't take much to make a 30 year old design feel ancient.

The W201 is most certainly too small for me. But I think it is also far too modern. I know if I had a faster car I'd just be racking up the speeding tickets. I'm seriously considering a trade for something like a W115 200D just to stem the stealth taxation! (And yes if there was a way to tame the beast inside I would - but it has always been a case of foot to the floor - brakes are for pussies)

This of course is blasphemy. The PP version of the Spanish Inquisition will be at your house tonight.

Just kidding! Glad you like your new ride Due to one of my employers I sometimes get rental cars when I go on travel. I compare those to my 300D. I haven't liked any of the new ones better than the old one. However, they never spring for MB, BMW, Porsche, or any of the other newer cars that interest me.

Inb4 computers ruin everything (in terms of maintenance). Glad to hear you like your new car -- is the 250 a direct injected engine? Have to imagine it is. The power and economy of turbo DI engines is phenomenal, leaps and bounds ahead of anything even in the 90s. Btw mild tunes are pretty cheap for these

I had a bms intake on my BMW and was really happy with it/them.

I prefer my E320 CDI over our w123. But the classics are still nice to drive

Brakes are waste thermal energy generators. I tend to use them as little as possible.

Lol, lots happened in 27 years.

We skipped the W203 based on all the negative reports, so we have a W201, W202 and X204 and each has it's pluses and minuses.

On a technical aspect is wins hands down in my opinion but as I mentioned earlier, the 190 still has my allegiance. As do many of the other older MBs.

I just like getting into my car and wondering what will tank next.
