What Car Would You Like to Drive Today?

For some reason, I cannot get the notion of driving a 1966 Thunderbird convertible out of my head:

It's definitely not a driver's car, certainly by today's standards. It's not that fast; it has indifferent brakes and handling, but I want to drive one on a nice coastal highway on a sunny day.

1968-1973 220D with no options and a 4-speed on the column for the back roads and around-town driving, 1969-1971 Chrysler New Yorker Town and Country with the 440 for the highway.

The 300SD is like the practical combination of these two .

My first car was a 1965 Thunderbird convertible. Yes, not a driver's car, but I miss it.

MB Metris - I have a wife and 4 kids to haul tomorrow, can I please get a rwd van ? I'd like it to have more than a 2.0T, but hey, its a van with a propeller shaft - I'll take it.

(the Windstars and Safari's have all rusted away in my state

I seriously think that MB is selling itself short- my neighborhood is fully of moms rocking $45k Hon-yotas...If they took a metris, and gussied up the interior, throw nice 6 zylinder in there (I'll settle for a 3l CDI motor...) they wouldn't be able to keep these in the showroom - all the soccer moms and their husbands would be jonesing for one.... or at least they would in my fantasy world....)

911SC or a 550 Maranello. But I don't have that kind of money so a 300D will do for now.

I saw a lovely droop nose C class wagon the other day. It was black. I have been thinking about it a lot the last few days. I think I'll sell off all my old benzos and try to get one of those.
