This one is fairly easy for me...there were a lot of interesting cars in that time period though.

TBOMachines-
Sadly, I wasn't 100% sure what car that was. Am I banned for life? I knew it was a Lambo, but I couldn't come up with its name. If this was a pirate ship, I would now be forced to walk the plank.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I wanted to add the Jaguar XK-120 (aka C-type). It is pretty good looking to me.

If it makes you feel better, I assumed it was a Ferrari...

Okay, guys, this is just awesome. I honestly had not heard of several of the cars which were mentioned, so I appreciate learning something new. In particular, I was totally ignorant about the BMW 507. It is a good looking car. It has some vague similarities to a 190SL in my untrained opinion. Even with growing up in Los Angeles, I am not sure I have ever seen a 507 in person.

I also had never noticed there were two generations of Corvairs. Only the first generation had crossed my path, so I appreciate the post regarding the later version.

Thanks everyone. If you have any others, please feel free to chime in.

Very handsome car. One of the few excellent chevy designs which do not owe heavily to a Ferrari.

Tough to say. Almost every car from then looks better than almost every car from now. Even my old '63 Dart looked better than 99% of what's coming off assembly lines now.

With a chev small block installed it would have been quite a car. If only it had been available when I first found it. Has to be really bad rust wise by now. I know it is still there but have not seen it in fifteen years or more.

A big old house that's been converted into a duplex down from me has has a red XKE convertible that sits in the garage. I see it in the summer when the door is open. Looks like it hasn't been on the road in decades with stuff stacked on it. It looks like an earlier year, so is probably quite valuable. A few summers back, the owner was doing some painting and I said, "Oh there's a Jag!" He said "Yep!" and that was it. He was busy working and didn't seem too interested in talking about it.
