Is this a bait and switch item for Black Friday bargains
A news story caught my attention when an investigative news report gave heed to buyers looking at TVs as bargains on the Black Friday crazy shopping day.To put it simply ,you aint getten what you pay for ,the electronics in the black friday tvs are different from the same tv they sell the rest of the year.So if your getting a bargain were is it?Can it be a bean counter at a dishonest corporation with only money on its mind at the bottom of this disception.

If you're standing in line on Black Friday, you're a sucker anyway. The real bargains are after X-mess when all the sheep return the crap that didn't need/want/afford. Open box special, baby!

Haven't heard that the electronics are different. I did hear that usually the best deals,
the ones you see advertised the most, have the least stock sometimes just 5 or fewer. A friend from college used to replace Xbox 360s that had the red ring of death by buying a new Xbox at sprawlmart and then swapping the broken one in for a full refund. |

Walmart is known to do this (aside from Black Friday) which is how they undercut electronics prices. It's not limited to Black Friday but id be interested in hearing what retailers are guilty of it.

Personally, I think that's how the rumor started -- from WalMart doing it year around. It wouldn't make sense to make a special run of poor-quality products just for Black Friday.

I think our 60 inch Samsung smart tv is price promoted by the manufacturer periodically. If the electronics are different I have no way of knowing.
At times they are sold through many outlets at similar much lower prices. Usually at about a full third less than their normal retail. This is up in Canada by the way. They do not appear to be production seconds. |

Tents were already popping up in front of Best Buy yesterday around noon-ish ... Now, that's "dedication" ...

Shame it's not supposed to be cold tomorrow -- selling Black Friday shoppers hot coffee/chocolate at $15 per cup would be a good way to make some fast dough.

Just make sure that you set aside some of your profits to cover the post-lynching trip to the emergency room...

I'm always amazed at the black friday hype that still exists. Haven't people found the internet yet?

Walmart does it all year round, but especially on Black friday. The TV they sell for cheap at the door is just that a cheap TV.
Walmart sells the same version of my TV which I bought at Costco for about the same price. Except the Walmart version is decontented and missing a lot of features mine has.
