I think Musk said his rocket crashed because it ran out of fuel. It was burning the hydraulic fluid used to control the thing and when that was gone there was suddenly no lift and no control.
But putting in a bigger hydraulic tank was going to be complicated. So they are still working on it, or something like that.
But Bezos is, unlike a few rich types in this neck of the woods, doing something with his money besides just playing with fancy horses or building a art museum full of stuff only he likes.
It is weird to think that hundreds of years from now guys who made their money off the internet will be considered patrons of science.
