First I would have to think that I care about your opinions of what I write.

Take them anyway you want to. I work in the shadows because I like it that way. So do the people I work for.

Writing is an industry and there are the names that stand out and there are those that do the work. This is just like any other industry.

The fact that I know a number of things is because I put myself out there in order to learn a number of things. Anyone can do this. Anyone who is capable of dealing with the risks involved in dealing with people with unknown pasts and motives, that is.

If you would like a professional opinion of the latest Star Wars film then go on-line and check out the 'Charlie Rose Show'. The one where he interviews George Lucas on December 15, 2015 would be a good place to start.

And...

A friend of mine worked for years writing romance novels. He wrote under the name of a woman, some a few million copies and made a good living at it.

He could knock out a book in about three or four days. Then he would take a month or two off and then write a few more. Then he would play golf or whatever else he wished. He even picked up a few awards, none of which had his real name on them.

But then one day his secret leaked out and that was that. He had to start all over with a new name and this time he kept his mouth shut about what he was working on.

You may not understand how this business works but the people who hire me do.

And to me that's what counts.

Saw it last night. Not as good as the first three (4,5 & 6). As least story line and acting wise. It was good, maybe very good, but not great or exceptional. A bit to much references to the original. Some of those were done well, others stood out to much. I likes the one about the Melineum Falcon being 'junk'. Luke made the same reference in 4. Liked the new characters overall. Needs more development.
The special effects seemed very real. Some of the fight scenes fit what the characters skill levels would be.
As to the prequels, some of the stuff was done very well. Others of them was moronic. I'd say pandered to the tween crowd humor. Sort of like the Ewoks in 6, but at least some of them bit the dust. THat is what I liked about this one, major characters die.

I saw it last week and enjoyed it. I agree that it was predictable and revisited episode 4 too many times, but I also think there are some central themes throughout the whole series that it plays homage too. I certainly thought the quality of the acting and direction was leagues better than the prequels, which I thought were atrocious.

So, you are an expert in a field because you say so. While pontificating from on high, you cant tell us a single thing youve actually written. Sounds good pooka

Lucas's genius is retaining the rights to produce toys. As a director hes only ok. American graffiti was decent.

Sure he could. Heck, he could write a book on a grain of rice while taking a piss!
