Thisis driving me crazy!!!

Trying to put the radiator in the raneg rover back in, and none of the oil cooler or transmission cooler pipes will reattach. I pulled the adapters off the radiator, and cant even screw them on. it appears the threads are bad.

This is just ridiculous. This car is just annoying me beyond belief. If its not one thing, its another. All I am trying to do is fix the damn thing myself for my brother, and every single time we find out we need to replace something else because its broken. ARGH. Anyone got some C4 I can use to blow the damn truck up? Maybe I should just give up and let his mechanic fix it and charge him a ridiculous sum to do it.

An easy 1 hour job has turned into a 4 hour nightmare, and its not over. I have even pulled the oil cooler hoses formt he car and tried reattaching them and still they wont screw on. after inspecting the threads, now I know why. the threads are all screwed.

Sorry I had to vent.

Alon

Feel free to vent.

I'm kinda glad it's happening to you, because it proves to me that I'm not the only guy in the world that this kind of thing happens to.

Every job I tackle, whether it's on the car, or a toilet / plumbing repair, should take 30 min., but turns into a 1/2 day job.

I'm going to see what I can do. so far this is the plan. Find some pieces that have hose connectors to clamp a hose on. Then screw those on the radiator, and clamp a hose on it and onto the oil and trans cooler lines.

That should work fine. They sell parts for adding oil coolers, that are exactly like I need.

I'll keep you posted.

For me, usually its several trips to an autoparts store, because something else was found out int he process of the repairs...
