Return of the E500
I was reading in my car mags today and they said the e500 is going into production agian

No more E430s, but I don't think the new E500 will be quite a special as the old ones. Even the ML is going to ML500.

i think maybe it's the same engine that's in the s500? not Porsche tuned or anything fancy like that. i read the review in Motortrend, it seems plenty quick...

The ML430 was replaced with the ML500 beginning with the 2002 model year. There was a thread on the ML forum in regards to this. The ML500 has a chrome bar over the rear license plate instead of the body colored one on the 320. Yes, the current 5 liter is the 113 engine, essentially the same as the S500, CL500, SL500 (even the last few years of the 129 body SL), etc. I had heard they were dropping the 4.3 113 engine and this seems to confirm it.
