Aren't they the company that makes the ugly sports- "super cars" ?
This is intriguing, maybe they can spend more R&D $$$ on bodys |

For what they are they look good enough.
This sort of valve train has been a sparkle in the eye of many an engineer. I have a fantasy project based on such a system, has to do with braking and compressed air. Similar to jake breaks but the air would be captured. It's daunting however. They mentioned reliability was a factor. At 3000 rpm, each valve opens and closes 25 times a second. The cam setup limits adjustment but it does more or less reliably tie valve movement to piston movement. Seems such engines would almost have to be non-interference. Otherwise, one signal glitch and your engine is junk.

Valve seat/face recession. ie: No quieting ramp to soften valve closing.
Irregular seat/face wear due to valve not rotating during operation. With no ramps of a cam, noise would be a big problem on a luxury vehicle. Great idea. Would work in a big rig diesel engine though with max rpm's of 2000. .
