Great Oregon Steam Up

If you like antique diesel, gasoline, and steam engines, then this would be an event worth attending. Lots of engines will be on display and running, parade of tractors and antique implements, an old-style tractor pull, a kid's pedal pull, a swap meet, a car show, logging and chainsaw carving demonstrations, starting demonstrations of the various old tractors(one uses a cigarette butt and a blank shotgun shell!). Various museums on site, most recent is a line shaft shop that was just opened. Usually one weekend will have current and previous/restored military trucks, jeeps, and tanks on display, driving around, taking part in the parade. Usually a live fire demonstration by the tanks, too(blanks of course).

Open July 30-31st and Aug 6th and 7th in Brooks, Oregon. I will likely be there both weekends and would love to meet up with anyone in the area who attends.

Steam-Up

You got it, will do.

Here's a video that's somewhat representative of what's there:

It's going on this weekend and next weekend, and I plan to be there all four days.
