Did any of you catch the Puerto Rican women's volleyball team v. US over the weekend? Now there's a bunch of tall, long legged, extra spicy beautiful women.

Did anyone see Katie Ledecky spank the competition in the 400m? She beat her own world record by a body length (2 seconds) and beat everyone else by about 5 sec or so. Never seen anyone swim like that, including Phelps. That 19 yr old can swim her ass off.

The "Final Five" just nailed it. Supposedly the best gymnasts the US has ever had. Simone and Aly just blew the competition away.

Amazing stuff. Both we're awesome on the floor exercise, not meaning to take anything away from the other events. Awesome is the best word I can come up with. Explosive, strong, flawless.

OMG! Wayde van Niekerk in the 400 meters! Wild race - they were saying no one had ever won a major championship in that far outside lane. In some ways it could almost be the best lane as the turn is the most gentle of all the lanes.

And Bolt. Wow. What a specimen. Track and Field is king in the Olympics for me.

I just watched the video of the women's 400 meter where the winner dove across the line. My take....looked like she was leading right up to the time she began to fall and simply fell/dove at the finish.

Its totally legal.

A well known runner stated that everybody knows the fastest finish is running and just leaning at the last at the tape.

I have my pick of anything I want to watch because I have basic cable and a Roku box. My favorite has been rugby, both men's and women's.

NBC's coverage had way too much water polo and team handball for me. Too much being showing them at all. Just unwatchable. I didn't even know they had rugby.

The dive at the end was a bit odd. I think she still would have won w/o it, not sure. Odd thing, the women's 100 meter hurdle sweep was the first US gold in a running event of the games (?!). Our athleticism is decline, except in basketball. We used to nearly own the men's 100 meter.
