New Acura NSX

When I was practicing with my autocross Lotus 7 I noticed the Honda factory team was there shaking down a new Acura NSX. I will tell you what I think I know about it....hybrid and awd.

I'll tell you what I do know about it....cool looking!

It goes pretty well too, not much slower than my D mod but it makes a whole lot more tire squealing!

Did you notice any of their times while shaking it down? if so comparable to what?

My best in my lotus was about 41.5. I believe they ran a 42 something on street tires. I was impressed.;)

Like this. Color was a Ferrari red. they brought along a couple of S2000s for comparison I suppose. They were running in the 44/45 second range.

The really good national podium finishing driver was at 39 in his Lotus Elan D mod. Lovely car.

Can't get the picture to download. I'll do It later when I get home.

I've been seeing them puttering around Honda's office in Torrance for a few months now. In LA street traffic it doesn't really stand out at all.

Meh.

Its similar to the old nsx in that when you first see it it looks like an ordinary Honda 2 door, then you look closer and it is a lot more.

Heck the styling is somewhat dramatic....but it does resemble.....a Hyundai..?;)

More like.... well, heck. Was planning on a witty riposte here, but I got nuttin'

That thing is just.... ick. No redeeming social value from an aesthetic perspective that I can see.
