Last year Canada stopped slightly more than 3,000 people with existing American criminal arrest warrants from entering Canada from the United States. This was the result of changing the screening process.
An American should wonder just how many are getting into America through the southern border each year? There is no way to estimate the number I can think of. Truthfully the number trying to get into Canada surprised me.
America does a fairly good job of stopping any Canadian with the slightest past criminal record from entering. Mind an active criminal warrant. Plus we Canadians need a valid passport to enter the United States. Or some other form of actual approved documentation.
You have to wonder on the basis of what we have reciently found. Just how many are getting past the southern border from Mexico.
