Why the crooked photos of cars for sale?
Seriously. When I'm looking at cars folks have for sale, I'm not wanting to have to tilt my computer or phone, and see through photo grafitti just to get to the car. I want to see straight on photos of all edges and damage. I don't want to get a kink in my neck doing so.
Since the camera phone first came out, people have thought they are professional photographers, taking low angle photos, tilted photos, and other useless pictures of their car. Anymore, I just flip through that ad to the next one. Anyone else come across the same problems?

It ruins the ability to see the car...ruining a sale. I'm looking for another beater to occupy my time, preferably a truck. I've passed on a number of them because the seller thinks he/she is being cute with their pics. They are blocking their own sales.

I like the ones where the car is still in the garage, surrounded by mounds of rubbish, you cant even see half of the car, and they say " well maintained"
Or the ones taken at night and you can only see the head lamps ,and tail lamps. and they say " runs good but needs new hub caps" WTF are these people thinking? They probably think to themselves " man its a tough market out there" lol

I'm a big fan of the ones where the carpet and seats are full of dirt and candy wrappers, then you know the car was really enjoined by the seller and will give you much joy and happiness as well.

I just saw one where the car is still under a cover...but they assured that the car was in great shape!

The people taking the photos now grew up in the 90s-00s where I swear all the shots on TV were crooked...

Yes a crooked photo is sub optimum but certainly not something I'm going to let come between me and the vehicle I want. As long as the car is actually shown, it's not a big deal.

I prefer the honest crooked photo over the 10 year old image of what the car used to look like until the sellers nephew crashed it into 32 light poles.
I once went to go look at a vehicle duped by one of these past photos. When I arrived the car had 4 flat tires and the owner had backed into it with his plow and pushed it into a ravine. What could possibly be going through someones mind when the post a pristine picture on a for sale ad of a car they wrecked? Wasted a half a day going to see this gem.

Truck with swiss cheese for rockers...well hidden by camera angle
jpg images Car with front driver's side damage image upload no resize About the only part of the car without dents or rust print screen Three pics angled so bad, that I decided to ignore and go on...guaranteed to be owned by millennials that think they are going to be professional photographers windows 7 screenshot windows 7 screenshot windows 7 screenshot Even my own son is prone to pull this crap, as evidenced by the first photos of his truck... image upload no compression I know I sound like a grumpy old guy, but for crying out loud...these suck. With the current camera phones on the market today, and the easy to use photo editing apps on the phones, nobody should be posting photos like these, especially for cars they're trying to sell. To give an example of what's possible with camera phones today, the photo on the other thread of my newborn grandbaby was taken with my Galaxy S7. My daughter said it came out better than the photos the hospital's professional photographer did when he came around and took pictures of the baby. My phone picture is what she's blowing up to frame on her wall.

Yup, I have an S6 and it takes fantastic photos as well. Not just the hardware, but the software also. Obviously in a professional setting they could smoke my photos, but I get lots of good point and click shots that my friends with DSLRs don't even get a chance at, just because I always have it with me and can pull mine out of my pocket and snap a pic of whatever's going on in 2 seconds. They're still messing with lenses and such when the photo op is gone.
