Broken Flex plate in Caravan with 94k

Well the van went in for service today only to find that the flex plate is cracked and the timing belt will take 2 extra days to do. You have to love it a van with 94k spitting up trannys

My freinds Chrysler Cirrus 1995 had a broken flexplate also at around 140 000km. I hate that car and he sold a perfectly good 91 civic for it

Everyone though raves how bad the Jeep is and this is my second one and I love them! Never any trouble and these new ones are getting good reviews! Still nothing is better than my baby, the 126.

BenzOnline,
What are you using to host the pics in your sig.? I tried both road fly and geocities and whenever I log off the pics don't show up anymore.

I use the image tags [img] post link here [/img]

The last tag with the / in it means you are closing the tag. I learned HTML so I knew how to use the tags.

So... find the link of the pic and place it between the tags. You place all this in the place where you type in the car you have so you see them in the post.

Mine work as long as I'm logged into roadfly or geocities (host) I was wondering if you had a suggestion on a host.

The '89 Caravan had an archaic 3-speed auto that was practically bombproof, compared to the UltraDrive 4-speed auto used in many 1990s Chrysler cars. That thing fails if you use Dexron fluid in it, and a variety of other stupid reasons.

Why not ditch it and get a GM minivan? GM seems to do their powertrain combinations just fine in V-6 front-drivers, at least. I think the Astro is a pretty good vehicle too, with proven mechanicals.

Look at the safety reports on gm minivans. The front and rear section fold up into the middle section
O ya
You can still get a 3 spd auto in the Dodges.

2,000 Dollars for a flex plate and timing belt. Talk about expensive repairs.
