Meadowlark Lemmon 83 yrs old.

I'm bummed. I remember my dad taking me to a game. Him and Curly were my favorites.

Meadowlark Lemon, legendary Harlem Globetrotter, dies at 83 | WPIX 11 New York

I'd say more the sixties. They were huge before professional basketball really came of age. I remember watching them on tv as a kid.

I saw them in the 1970's at the old Omni in Atlanta. They threw a bucket of water over the audience - which turned out to be shredded paper - but it certainly looked like water.
