I visited the Blackhawk musuem yesterday. It was nice but not all that. It had a pretty small display of cars. I'd guess less than 50. My two favorites were the 1938 BMW 328, a lovely little gem of a two seat race car, and a 427 Cobra....a real one, in orangeish red. There were also some other cool cars, a tyhpe 57 Bugatti, sweet! ...a chopped roof customization of a 39 Lincoln Zepher and a really sweet 65 Chebby two door hardtop with a 396 engine.

Then we headed into San Fran and the Mrs. did a little shopping, and we wet to bed early as our wakeup call was for 515 am. The clock was wring in our room so I woke up at 410 and couldn't go back to sleep.

Our cabbie was channeling Don Gartlits on every green light and Mario Andretti on every corner. He was Russian born and has been in the country for 30 years and has a $600K condo with a view of the bay. He appears to be in his sixties.

We flew Alaska air and had direct flights there and back thanks to booking on a Saturday.
