Soak the blade in place or in a bowl?

Today I went up to South Bend to autocross the orange cobra. Turned out to be a pretty nice day. Got my lunch eaten by another highly modified Miata and God knows who all. But the car performed perfectly. On my last lap , running in third gear without touching anything but the gas pedal and it not fully depressed I spun my rear tires accelerating to the next gate.

I put on some Rain-X but there was not enough rain to test it out.

Woo hoo!

Yesterday I found some Willwood calipers on sale and bought four. I'll need some adapters for the mounting and perhaps other things but hopefully these will get me going. They are made as direct replacement for GM metric calipers so any sort of pads should be readily available.

The weather was perfect....sixties and low seventies, a nice breeze and no rain!

OK today with the ideal running conditions I found no sway bars allowed the car to roll too much, so I'll be putting some back on the car. It ran perfect and attracted a load of attention but not because I was so fast.

Thumbs up A Fun Day Out !

Many decades ago I discovered that driving an actual fast car served to make my lack of driving skills quite apparent .

Ever since I've enjoyed driving slow cars fast and many think I'm a fast driver when I'm not in fact .

As long as you're having fun and not wadding the whip, all is good, right ? .

When I get back I am going to re-attach both sway bars and move ahead.

I got the front re-attached after taking over an hour finding the link. Also did a few minor things and loaded it up. I'm going now to fill it with no alcohol premium.

Headed for Portage Indiana.

Wooo Hoooo!

"The Whip" is your fun vehicle....

"Wadding" is standard race track terminology for crashing.....

It's good to hear you're having fun with this, far too many get lost and are angry driver's .

My daily driver is fun or gets sold on .

Thanks Nate!

Today ran at Portage high school. A slippery asphalt lot which has been sealed. I had the front bar attached and ran without the rear. seemed perfect really. I got in 8 runs I have not seen the final results but I believe I got quicker each run more or less and had a great time!

Thumbs up Track Time

Sounds good to me, getting the whip dialed in is most important .

You'd prolly love running with my son, he was a track instructor @ Willow Springs for a while and has driving skills I can only dream of .

Once I get my brakes working properly my times should come down some.....maybe a second or two depending on the course.
