Pool Polaris overhaul
The belts broke on my Polaris. I looked on Youtube and found a video on how to replace them. Since I had the whole thing apart anyway I figured.... how about a paint job.
I have always hated the chalky blue and white of the unit sooooo. https://scontent-dfw5-1.xx.fbcdn.net...64&oe=5B75EAD9 I went to HD and looked for some paint. Wanted a bit of color and this is what I ended up with. https://scontent-dfw5-1.xx.fbcdn.net...83&oe=5B672870 The purple is the top, red is the under carriage, gray is the wheels and the white is the hub caps. There will be a white float on top and white tires. I'll post an assembled pic later. I need to the paint dry. I'd like to do some flames but I do not have that kind of artistic talent. May be I can find some water proof decals.:D |
Hmmm. not sure why photos are not linking from photo bucket. Need to work on this.

Fixed it. Little bit large ... sorry.

How will the paint stand up to chlorine and water?
My parents is in need of a paint job, so I'm curious. |

One of the bearings fell apart. I ha dread on line that while I have the unit apart its a good idea to replace them since there are perishable. Did I listen ... nope. As I was putting the unit back together I tipped it on its side and small ball bearings just started to fall out. Great. I went on line and the local pool place wants $16 a piece. Seems a bit steep. Amazon had them for $9 for a 4 pack. I ordered them and they will be here fri. |
