Here is a pic of the DEPO Euro Lights

Just one pic of the left side. I didn't want to pull them both out fo the boxes until I am ready to install them.

They look to be very good quality. so far I am happy with them.

...looks good! ..if you indicated these were Hella or Bosch- - it would be hard to tell the difference...Do they have E1 or E2 etched on the glass lenses?

any pics of the inside of lights (reflectors), and pics of the inner behind the back seal door?

we'll be able to tell if there are vaccuum actuators

Alon,

Those look great. I can't wait to get mine in.

Can you possibly take a picture of the bottom of the light for me. I'm trying to devise a way to install my current wipers/motors to the Euro lights without buying the new painted panel below the light. It would really help to visualize this.

Thanks in advance.

Are you going to chrome the insides with the chrome tape mod? It would be easier while you have then clean and just out of the box. Can you pry these open like the Hella ones?

they are DEPO brand.

no vaccum actuators. I wouldn't have hooked that up anyway.

I will snap some pics a little later. Gotta run to the bank to deposit some funds.

I'll check on the things you guys asked and respond in a bit.

Yal. I have some vinyl laminate in silver aluminum finish, and black that I am waiting on arriving. I will try the black first, as I think it will look very cool. I have the chrome tape on standby though to do it in chrome.

The thing I like about the vinly laminate, is it comes in rolls, so I have tons coming my way. Its like 12-15" wide by like 120" or so long maybe more.

BTW. I'm going to use the Aluminum Look vinyl, to cover all the wood in my car. The wood is cracking, so I'm just going to cover it and make the car look racy inside. I have some of that burlwood look laminate too the same stuff thats on my radio, so I could use that, but I'm going to try the silver aluminum look stuff first ont he iterior wood.

Placo/Alon:

Congrats on the Euros. This is a link to Barrie's instructions on wiring and installing Euro lights, including info on making a bracket to use your old wipers/motors with the new Euros. It also talks about swapping the motor/wipers left to right to allow better coverage of the Euro lens by the wiper, and adding the Euro wipers to the US motors, but haven't tried these - in fact, I never used the wipers, so I installed the painted blank plate.

John, Thanks for the link..

I also have instructions from mbca as wellt hat were provided byt he guy I got the lights from.

They look very good. I am dying to install them like right away... BUT...

I don't want to take the thing apart again to put the chrome tape on the isde, plus if I am going to do the install, I'm going all out. so I want to rewire with relays and all, and I have to buyt he wire for that.

I will rewire using factory wiring colors and all, to keep it nice and matched.

Let me know what you think, the quality on these does look excellent.

More pics to follow.

They have E4 on the lens

Some more....

I chromed the left one so far. took about 30 mins or so. Its tough getting into those tight area's byt he fogs. I found some solid copper insulated house electrical wiring to use. Bendable, yet sturdy. Got it in there pretty good.

Here are the pics.

New toy.. hehe

Left chromed

Right not chromed

Both to see the difference...

The first pic is supposed to show my excitement at my new toys. I am dying to install them, only waiting on my connectors and wiper panels to arrive from partsshop.

FANTASTIC! Your car is going to look amazing. Carlsons and now this Thats a very good quality set you have there. For the price and the improvement in lighting it is well worth it. You even have the hole for the euro city lights if you want to one day add it by splicing it into your side lights. Can't wait to see the pics!

What kind of H4 bulb are you going to use: How about the Silver stars from Sylvania that have just been released in H4 size?

Alon,

THANK YOU! Those lights look great and the chromed tape looks even better. Can't wait to see these beauties on your car, should update the front end considerably.

Thanks again for the pics, really helps me figure out the changes I'll need to make when mine finally arrive.

Thanks.. As for the City light. The bulbs is in.. hehe and they willbe hooked up, along with the vacuum adjustment, since its there.

As for bulbs... I bought some standard 55 watt H4 and 55watt H3 for them. They sre sylvania brand. I was going to spring for those overwatt ones but then realized wait... these are Euro's.. No need for those fancy xenon style bulbs...

I will probbaly upgrade the bulbs later to some nice piaa superwhites or something, but for now lets see how they turn out..

I'll be installing them as soon as the parts arrive to complete the install. need those connectors and the wiper delete panels.

Alon
