No I would not tow over 3500 pounds with my s class, even with a modified,722.6xx and extra trans cooler. Problem is I read towing anything you burn the same amount of fuel as a class C or A. Even keeping rpms down to 50 mph. Automatic's pull more, than manuals too.

Mercedes recommend no more than 3000 with brakes or 1500 without. I'd be cautious with one towing a small trailer especially in the mountains and in the summer if you live somewhere very hot.

If you get into 3500# you'll be happier with a truck or suburban. But if you've never done it before and you're not sure if you'll like it I'd start with a small trailer towable by whatever I have.

I may be interested in selling you my unit, but it's not a giveaway item. It's a 2002 Ford E450 7.3 liter cutaway 24' Class C. 100K miles. It's a rugged unit. Roll bar cage. Well built. Fully loaded for an '02. Full leather, the whole enchilada. I may upgrade to a newer unit and for the right $, I'll sell you mine. Cost to sell I'd entertain - in the upper $30K range. A like unit new would be close to $150K. +/-

This - all day. If the engine breaks, you are fixing a basic truck motor with parts at every FLAPS in America. If you go class A, who knows if they have a kenworth (?) oil prefilter banjo bolt on the shelf....

Look up used prices on that type of RV and get back to me. Sold examples can be seen for 10k less with half the mileage, and this from RV dealers with a bigger markup. Yes, almost anyone else selling one has a better connection with reality on price.

Few things hold their value as badly as the typical RV. Or you can pay skidmark a huge premium for his 100k mile example because it has leather.

Be careful on Craigslist. RV and trailer sales seems to be a popular scam.

Be wary of any listing with no inside photos. Anyone can snap a photo of a trailer on the street and then post it for sale. The goals of such scammers is endless. If nothing else they can gather your e-mail address. At worse they can request you to send a deposit.

I don't think you are dumb enough to fall for any of these scams. I am only telling you this to let you know you will hit a lot of dead ends if Craigslist is your only option.

You might consider a dealer in used trailers. And don't pay for anything without a 100% function check. Pipes break in the winter and the seller may not be aware of a problem. Make sure all propane systems work. Check the refrigerator function; dual fuel friges are expensive.

And run water over it to check for leaks.

heard something funny about a RV.
A sick man was found laying next to a RV.
He thought he would steal its gas,Instead he hooked up to its sewer tank.
Chunky gasoline?
