Looked at the comet Neowise tonight
About 30min ago finally got dark enough. Went out with binoculars and found it under the big dipper just as described. There was a gap in the trees in just the right place. Once I located it I could see it without the binocs but it was very dim.

I've seen three comets in my life that I can remember. Unfortunately, while I knew of this one I completly spaced it. Haha. If it's still visible I'll try again tonight.

You should still be able to see it for another week or so. Just after dusk below the big dipper. We've either had clouds or the mountain beside us has been blocking it. Hopefully we'll get a chance tonight.

I found it. Got a good view thru my 6x30 binos and then using my 4.5 inch Orion reflector. Using various eyepieces I could make out the core as an almost pinpoint of light with a ball of phosphorescence around it and the tail was quite decently visible. I could almost convince myelf I could even see the ion tail. But probably not.
That makes four comets I've seen in my life, starting with d dissappointing Hally when I was in my teens. But the night wasn't all comet. I also "bagged" Jupiter, Saturn and the open cluster M7 in Scorpius. All in all a decent nights viewing. Would still be out there if it weren't for the disgusting heat in Phoenix. - Peter.

It's overcast here so no view tonight. Hopefully a clear night or 2 before it's gone.
