Im sorry to hear that... and my heart goes out to the 7 year old's family. But these things happen nearly all the time around the world, even in parts where its not expected. I hope the 7 year old turns up safe and back with the family.

yesterday I noticed many police vehicles and news vans just downt he street from my house. I wondered what happened, and as I was driving by today, there was even more police cars and news vans.

I pulled over to ask what was happening, and I was informed that a 7 year old child had been kidnapped. I asked if there was anything I could do to help, but they told me they have it fully under control, but thanked me for the offer.

The parents of the child were in shambles, news camera's were everywhere.

In my neighborhood, that is the most shocking thing that has happened for as long as I can rememeber.

In a neighborhood like mine, this just does not happen ever, but now I find out it did happen. Some of my neigbors who live within blocks of me are Celebrities, including the playboy mansion.

The house that the child was kidnapped from is right across from a park called arm and hammer.

The location is Comstock and beverly Glen.

I am absolutely shocked at this.

My heart goes out to the family that has been victim of this brutal crime.

I am clueless at how to react now, I am totally shocked that something like this could happen so close to my own home.

I'm close to brentwood. kind of nearby. I'm actually down the street form UCLA, which is inbetween me and brentwood.

But to me it is just shocking. I never expected something liek this to happen in my neighborhood. It just goes to show you, Crime is Everywhere, even where you least expect it.

Watching CNN, the body of this kid was just found in the pool! I quess the crime may have been child neglect compounded by incompetent police work at the scene! Tragedy upon tragedy. The neighborhood is safe again and all suspected criminals (everyone who doesn't "belong in the neighborhood") are free to go about their business as usual.

At least America can sleep soundly knowing that the Playboy Mansion and all the "valuables" inside are no longer threated by this type of CRIME!

Wow, I have to start watching the news more. Just earlier I was told that the child had been kidnapped.

I might be on some news camera's too. They were filming some stuff when I was driving by, and my car will probably slink past the camera.

What a tragedy. My heart goes out to the family. They have suffered a terrible loss.

Well Alon,

They're still not sure. Kid was missing during a party at the house from what I gather. Pool area had been checked, plus the pool was serviced (chemicals etc but not vacuumed) after the kid was reported missing. Then this afternoon the body was found in the pool.

Something sounds fishy. The ME will determine cause tomorrow.

yeah I heard that too Mike.

Its just a tragedy that something like this could happen. Apparently from what I have heard, The child was a student at the elementary and high school I went to, so I feel a bit more connected than just living in the neighborhood. I know many of the teachers and faculty from my old school, so I know how this must be affecting them, if it really is indeed a child from that school.
