Brother's GF car is inoperable again...

So glad I'm single! Anyways brother checked out the master cylinder and it's dry, BONE DRY  , and well know what a dry master cylinder means :furious3:. I'm curious as to what it could be, I'm betting it's either the caliper or master cylinder, her car NEVER lost fluid until she got remans at the autoshop. They where original calipers snd master.

Was always a pretty common problem with cars. Plus fairly easy to address usually. The problem today with some very new cars.

Getting the system bled down again after the fix can be dealer territory. The current trend for cars to automatically brake if they detect an object in front of them for example.

For people that repair their own brakes as these cars get older. May become more involved. I can almost see people sitting stuck with their brakes locked on. Because the distance detection system has failed. Or as the cars get older and the brake lines are showing too much evidence of corrosion. You will be dealing with a lot more brake lines when replacing them .

Hopefully the only default if the distance detection system is not working is the loss of the function. I just would not count on that scenario.

Sorry to be a wet blanket...you may need a computer to assist you in properly bleeding ABS brakes - all dependent on how old the car is.
