Pressure washer recommendation
I am looking for a pressure washer, mainly for the driveway, house siding, etc. (will also use on cars and wheels with lower pressure settings). Any advice?
I am debating between a Karcher gas powered 1800 psi (for $200 at Menards) and a Delta gas powered 2000 psi (for $300 at Sams Club). The Karcher comes with a 4 HP BS engine and the Delta has a Honda 4.5 HP engine. Your comments and advice are appreciated. |

I would go with the Delta, I think that Honda makes superb power equipment engines.

I bought a Campbell-Hausfield 2000 psi at Wal Mart for $200. Five horse Briggs engine. No problems so far. How's the puppy? BenzE was asking about her. BenzE is finally housebroken but it took patience . Keep her plenty of chew toys too!! I found that out too late!!:p

Puppy is doing great. DId you see her new pic in my profile when she turned 10 wks old? She is also house broken. The crate is the key. She really did not make any mistake as her mom dog was taking the litter out for bathroom when she was very young. Thank you all for your suggestions and advice. I will try to get the Delta if it is still available at Sams Club. |

Got the Delta machine.
It turned out it is 2200 PSI, not the 2000 PSI that I thought earlier.
A question for those who have used a gas powered unit. In the manual, it says do not let the engine run for more than 2 minutes without pulling the trigger. I found this a bit inconvenient as what if I need to move a round or arrange things a bit without turning off the engine. Would slowing down the engine help in this situation or I have to pull the trigger every two minutes just to get cold water moving? Thanks again. |

My cousin has a lawn serivce company and he bought a pressure washer with a 8hp BS it's nice. Cleans almost anything. But I would go with the Honda engine.

There is no relief valve to bleed the pressure. When you're not using it, it is "deadheading" with is not good for the pump or the engine. Slowing the engine down will not help that condition.
