A couple twilight shots

I got the fog-lamps and citylights wired a few days a ago...also added a euro plate. Thought I'd snap a few pic's with them on to give the effect.

How did you have the foglights done? Is that an SEC airdam or a custom installation? Whatever it is, it looks great.

I dig the AMG rims on your car. The W126 body was born for 17 inch AMG 5-spoke monoblocks, especially if the car's a dark color.

Thanks guys!

Sam, I used a SEC bumper cover with SEC lamps with the existing SEL chrome & bumper support. I wrote about how I did it here . The proceedure is about 1/2 way down the first page...the first 1/2 is me just being silly replying to myself.:p There are some different views of the car Here

Dan, I thouht about Euro bumpers but they seemed to $$$$ for me. I kinda like the US bumpers now though....they seem to fit the overall *large* styling of the car.

It's amazing how much bigger they are. The US bumpers are almost big enough to eat dinner on. My BMW is the same way

420... does your bumper have any gaps on top of the bumper? Gillybenztech says that since the grille, lights, etc are different, the bumper might have gaps exposed. I was wondering if you had any or not.

Benzman500... i think the color is gray.

Thanks again everyone.

Dan, the car is actually anthracite gray. The low light in the photo just gives the illusion of it being a darker color. I think I yet have to take a picture of this car where the color is accurately represented.

BenzOnline, I haven’t done anything with the interior except add the controls for the CD changer. It’s mounted in that little storage area below the ashtray. I have no plans to do anything to the interior except leave it in it’s like new condition.

Snibble, is there a particular area where you’re concerned about the fitment of the SEC bumper on the car? Everything seems to fit fine on my car. You are correct in that a SEC bumper *assembly* = (cover, support & chrome) will not fit on a SEL…..the hood on a SEL wouldn’t close because the bottom of the grille would hit the chrome on the SEC bumper assembly because the chrome on a SEC bumper isn’t indented in the center like it is on a SEL…. This why you’ll have to use your existing chrome & bumper support with the SEC bumper cover. It won’t fit otherwise.

Hope this helps.

Clay,
When you installed your european headlights did you need a bracket underneath them? How did you support them underneath? Thanks. Nice car btw.
