Conversion from carburator to throttle body

HI. I'm having trouble with the Edelbrock on the Cobra. It's fine when just tooling around town and so forth but on the autocross course when turning left and right and accelerating and decelerating it creates a lean miss making the car pretty much undrivable.

Just wondering how hard it is to put in a throttle body system? For starters I assume a new fuel pump is in order.

..I also have a 427 Cobra replica with an aluminum chassis.

Well I hope so! (Point being that some of these specs may influence fuel injection system choice and sizing.)

I don't know. Trouble is it runs fine if I'm not autocrossing, also ran fine at Winchester speedway. I can adjust all I want but until I can run it hard around corners I won't know if it is right or not.

There's a few companies that make EFI kits that swap in place of a carbureator, though I think you may have to swap your intake manifold for one that has a single carb.

Just add a fuel system kit and away you go.

As I intend to use an aftermarket EFI and ignition on my 5.6 project I had read everything I can find about them. I will be interested in your feedback. What fuel pump are you going to use? Will your Cobra accommodate an in tank fuel pump?
