I'll give it a go one day. I still have my first E30, now about 450K, has needed a CAT welded in for over a year. I'm getting lazy. Will do it soon.

Speaking of cost to keep BMWs going, I took that car from 214K to its current point for about $10,000 in parts. Did all work myself. Doesn't seem exorbitant but I don't know what it would have cost for labor.
