Fortunately on only a very few times in my life. I felt the urge to emit some gas. Unfortunately it had lumps in it at the time when I did.

People have perished in blizzard conditions when transiting the distance between houses and outhouses. Just getting disoriented and totally lost in the process. I suspect ropes may have been strung between the two structures in some locations to prevent this.

The thought of getting out of a warm bed in sub zero temperatures to go out to an outhouse. In the middle of the night. Is an experience I have thankfully missed.

I have also heard of people being trapped in them when pranksters pushed then over so the front door was on the ground. Forcing them to climb out through the seat hole on occasion. Had to also have been a wonderful experience.

There is probably an element of truth that in hard times some people used sears catalogues and such to clean up with.

Reminds me of an ancient corny joke. The traveling salesman stopped by a place to use their outhouse. The farmer said if you do not mind that the wife takes salts go to it. He emerged covered in stuff. Asking what the hell. The farmer told him he had warned him the wife takes salts. Summer saults.

Sleeping naked best for health?

Sleeping naked is the best thing you could do to improve the quality of sleep you get every night. This is because medically speaking, clothes and layers get in the ay of your body attaining thermogenesis naturally. The core body temperature should be slightly lower than your environmental temperature for your brain to go into sleep mode.

However, there are other more effective ways of getting those snoozes much sooner. One of them is consuming melatonin-rich foods - banana, turkey, chicken, milk etc.

Second is to refrain from consuming tea/coffee/alcohol after 6 pm. This interferes with your actual sleep cycle.

And third, is to shut down all electronic devices and unplug yourself from the digital world.

If you are think you arent getting proper sleep, you can try out some more science-backed tips mentioned here.

In the early 1970's a guy I knew found and purchased the biggest and best chamber pot I've EVER seen ~ it was made in England and the wide lip said " GOOD COMPANION ANTI - SPLASH ALL WEATHER THUNDER BOWL" and in the dead center if the bottom it had a large eye staring at you..... .

We'd fill it with rice and take it to weddings and so on :D .

I wish I could find another, i'd buy it instantly .

Might go well with my old whorehouse mermaid lamp .

It was 37* F last night, I blew off to -day's planned works, it's O.K. out side now .

Layers are what keep you warm ~ if I get chilly I find a shirt lain upside down so the wide part covers my shoulders, does the trick .
