happy holidays
I can be a jerk,I've fought depression all my life. But I do wish all good times, and hopefully better next year.

I too wish well to all as the season is upon us. Hoping the upcoming year is kind to them and their families.
I also appreciate the fairly civilized crowd on this site. It would also be nice if all countries in the world tried to get along just as well.. The vast majority of the worlds population wants and needs more stability and predictability. |
Merry Christmas. Happy Holidays.

That Time Of Year
Here's hoping all have a nice, quiet Christmas and a good pleasing New Year's celebration to follow .
|
I've been off-line for a few weeks after hip replacement surgery and some cardiac issues that hit last Saturday. Everything's under control now (fingers crossed:o).
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to all OT members. |
are you taking blood thinners,or asprin?

Health
I hope the new hips settle in and work well, most of my friends who've had this have been really happy with the results .
Knees are a hit or miss thing, new ones typically only last 4 to 5 years before wearing out . Last year when they were putting my arm, wrist and hand back to - gether they said they wanted to replace both my smashed knees, I said no let's see if I can heal them up, I was very lucky and followed the O.T. and P.T. regime *exactly* and can walk fine again with no serious pain there . ? Do you have stents ?. they too seem to work well . Gotta change the diet and take fiber once you're past a certain age, the age varies for each person . |
Happy holidays to one and all!

Yes to both. and a few other cholesterol, BP, etc. Went back on amiodarone after 16 years when my AICD popped off last Saturday---multiple times. No stents.! My LAD bypass graft is still 70% open. Three others grafts from 1991 surgery have closed. It is what it is. |

Well my Christmas season really got started last night. The local daughter mentioned our son in law had just completed his large vat of seafood chowder he does every year. It is always great so I just had to drop in last night. I wish I could share some of the chowder with you fellows. It always is that good. He makes about ten gallons of it.
Actually when they were away they had someone drop off a large box of cooked lobsters here. To put in our freezer. The temptation to try one for quality control reasons was strong. So I really taped up the box to defeat temptation. Looks like a good week ahead for traveling locally as well. With no snow forcast .After a long drive yesterday as well. Plus going for that chowder later. Then being full of that chowder when I got home. I decided to have a nap on the couch for an hour. Woke up seven hours later with my clothes still on. The wife has not ditched me yet as I noticed she threw a blanket over me. Then again she may have just been trying to cover up the mess. So here I am wondering if I should go take my clothes off and go to bed. Or just stay up. I seldom waste time getting dressed for bed. I also have a plan to get semi intoxicated over the next week at some point. Why I am not sure. I seldom drink other than wine with a dinner. Or a couple of beers on a hot day. I have never been known to touch a drop during a full eclipse though. |

I was concerned that someone would politicize what appeared to be well wishes to our fellow forum members....:P |
