I never use a phone, and never want a cell phone. To me wasted money,I even don't let strangers in my driveway.Have no tresspassing signs.

I use my cell phone all the time. Look for products, communicate with friends all over the world. Take pictures of my travels. Find my way from A to B.

I use it as a tool just like a car. Not sure why people have issues with the advancement of technology. It is neither good nor bad. Depends on how it is used.

oldsinner111 01-09-2019 11:50 AM

It's like a stranger coming to my house,I don't want to talk with someone I don't know.

davidmash 01-09-2019 11:51 AM

Then don't answer the phone.

oldsinner111 01-09-2019 11:57 AM

x2, it's by far the most versatile tools I carry.

I'd love to ditch it, but it's way too handy.

My cell phone is a tool...one used often. Once I figured out how to block all calls other than those numbers in the phonebook, I've been pleased with it.

Why ditch something that is so handy?

There are call block.spps. I use one. It has to learn th numbers. As they call, I put the number in the app. If they call again, it.goes straight to voice mail with out ringing. Takes time.to.lesrn the numbers but my spam calls have dropped.

I get hammered by robo calls from local area code numbers...it seems that the credit card company is very concerned about my ignoring their ability to bring my rates down, or some crap.

Since I started blocking them through the ap that Verizon uses, I haven't had "Jason from Microsoft" in a very telling middle eastern accent calling me to tell me that my computer has a virus. The last time he called, I held him on the phone for over 35 minutes before he finally said that he knew where I lived, and that he would show up at my door. He then spewed out a few expletives and I hung up on him. Had him on speaker the entire time...wife and kids were fighting to stifle laughter the entire time.

I always think it would be fun to troll them but I just cannot over come the reflex to hang up. One day ... one day.

I highly suggest that you do...it's quite fun. Now that we're living with and caring for my mother, she has become the audience of my phone antics, since I now handle all incoming phone calls. She now anticipates the calls, waiting on me to start my crap with the caller.

Hey, if it gets mom and my wife laughing, my job is complete for the day.

I dislike the unwanted calls intensely .

I no longer answer my house 'hone, I check to see if they leave a message .

I occasionally get weird silent calls on my cell 'phone, it's getting to where if the prefix is the same as mine, I don't answer .

The J.W.'s came to my door the other day, i was polite and said 'you're JW's ?'

"yes we are" .

'Thank you I have to word already and don't need any more' .

"Thank you and have a nice day Sir" they turned and walked away .

No need to be rude or show firearms .

KnockingST 01-10-2019 11:23 AM

I hate cell phones because it's easy to lose it. I've already lost one :)

Mxfrank 01-10-2019 12:59 PM

The crank phone calls have become completely out of hand. I no longer answer my house phone, my personal phone, my business phone, and I only connect the fax line on request. It's not an unsolvable problem, but someone has to make it a priority.

Heh, because it's how my employer gets ahold of me while on call! :P

I sometimes "forget" it on the counter at home or in my backpack because I love work so much!

barry12345 01-10-2019 06:54 PM

Well I have to admit. I am not the happiest when these you need something or other calls come in at about the worse times. The phone empires naturally preffer their revenue over pulling them.

I try not to be a rude and crude person. So I just say no thanks and hang up very fast. What is so suprising. Is after all these years the same pitches must still work. As they have to be still be making money from them to function.

JB3 01-10-2019 07:54 PM

Modern smart phone it has never been easier to ignore unwanted calls.

vwnate1 01-11-2019 10:05 AM

In Reality

" Modern smart phone it has never been easier to ignore unwanted calls. "

Unless you're a technophile, it isn't .

Yes, I know my new cell 'phone has nay more features than I'll ever use, I don't care ~ all I want is a handy telephone and camera that slips into my pocket .
