Coffee - joint pain

Holy crap. I've noticed a few times that my joint pain seems to improve when I lay off coffee. Have been doing so lately. A few days ago I noticed my weak left ankle was feeling pretty good. But yesterday I felt tired, drank a big cup. Wow, my ankle started hurting. Now I see that this is a known thing:

I've been stupid for a long time.

I've been moving to a touted weight loss tea:

Some mixture of green, oo long, and black tea; bit of diced ginger, finely sliced lemon pieces, and cinnamon. Lot of buzz lately about the benefits of lemon water on an empty stomach first thing in the morning.

Strong citrus drinks can erode teeth so I'm keeping the lemon amount tiny. Would be nice to know about pH level on that.

Coffee can also affect blood sugar in some people with diabetes. My dad learned that the hard way when his numbers started going haywire with no explanation. Turned out to be the coffee...

Lemon water first thing in the morning helps if you're prone to a sour stomach or acid reflux. I went through a period of chronic indigestion and deleting coffee/tea/caffeine and ingesting lemon water helped a LOT.

I’ve read several times that green tea is not nearly the problem as coffee. Word is the caffeine is counterbalanced by other ingredients. And the caffeine amount is small. But maybe I should go with peppermint instead, at east experiment. It has a benign stimulative effect or so they say.
