If he takes them off there will be places left on the hood needing paint. Of course he'll have to paint the whole hood since its metallic paint and then there is the issue of matching correctly. If I were him I'd save my money and energy making the car safe and reliable.....then selling it instantly before anything else goes wrong.

Oh I think a mullet is s hard requirement.

Yes, it's been repainted, and not well. Half the car is probably bondo... I have been prioritizing mechanicals over cosmetics so far, I need to lift one scoop a bit to see if the whole hood was painted or not, and if it was, can I restore the paint to match. Because yes, matching the paint job would be really difficult. Maybe I'll just paint the whole thing red

I actually have it running and driving pretty well at this point. The fuel injected engines are a lot more reliable than the older carbureted versions. It's actually a fun car to
cruise around in. I still haven't dared drive it the 30 miles to work...

Great video and very interesting. Maybe you do one each week or so and make a history. I expect good things out of this thread. And you must be pretty good with cars.

Thumbs up The Mullet

You know I was just teasing, right ? .

I know these cars were considered worthless money pits but I actually like how it looks apart from the trailer park mods .

BTW : I have a brother who lives in Waldoboro.....

I have a soft spot for them. They have a bad reputation but to me, that just means that you can buy an Italian car that competed with a Ferrari 308 for pocket change.

Yea, I've wanted one for a very long time and I don't even know why. When I saw this thing pop up on facebook marketplace really cheap I just had to...

I also did this. I still need to get the gooey remnance of the tape off, but it's way, WAY better. I'm not embarrassed to drive it in public anymore.

Love bi-turbos, ever since a teenager. They have something about them that makes them really appealing and 4 door Italian sport sedans are so damn sexy.

Here is another interesting Italian 4 door.

Nice little car. Let us know how the reliability is. I have had my eye on a 2006 Maserati Grand Sport for a number of years now but just never pulled the trigger. Went with a CLK55 AMG instead.

I expected a change with the hood scoops removed. This end result was more than expected at least by me.

It hasn't caught fire yet? That is amazing for a Chrysler.
