Yeah, our shed cats [no barn here ] have unlimited food, and they still kill all the mice/squirrels/voles/bugs they can.

Mouse vs catfood is probably like steak vs cereal for you & I.

Bugs eating surprised me when I saw it. The termites were flying around and one landed in from of one of my Cats and the Cats tongue was out and the termite was going. Since then I have seen them eat Grasshoppers and Butterflies.

My Anole's lump has mostly apparently sloughed off, and my rabbit who I brought into the house a week or so has perked up and is looking very healthy. I guess he was suffering in the heat a lot.

I have some dementia issues so I hope I have not related this Rabbit Story before.

My Neighbor behind me a cross the Alley had some Rabbits. Once in awhile one would get out and my Garage door is sprung out at the bottom on one end. The door is covered with Aluminum and the edges can be a little jagged. When one of her Rabbits got in the Garage I would see fur on the Garage door.

I would catch the Rabbit and bring it back to her.

One day the same thing happened and I went in the garage, chased the Rabbit, caught it and took it over to here house. She said it was not here Rabbit!

Fortunately she knew who it might belong to and it was someone 2 houses down on my side of the Street and I returned it.

What were the chances of someone else's Rabbit getting loose and heading for the inside of my Garage?

The lady behind me raised the Rabbits as Pets. The people down the street I believer raised them to eat. Which is a better idea then raising chickens as some do in my area. Rabbits are quiet and their poo does not smell as bad and is easier to clean up.

Thumbs up Homegrown Foods

Plus, they taste better .

In the late 1970's I rented a house on top of a steep hill in Highland Park Ca, part of North East L.A., the owner was a very old woman and she had chickens, goats and rabbits .

At that time I was driving a restaurant supply truck and so got all the stops to set aside a big empty box for wilted lettuce etc., in a couple months I had the fattest poultry and rabbis you could imagine .

The goat too, he was friendly and loved to show me his love by head butting me when I came 'round with the greens .

Spoke to my Wife and she said a Women at work when out side and found a Raccoon eating here dismembered Chihuahua.

In the last 2 weeks I have seen a Raccoon twice running down the Sidewalk in front of my House and 6 times were they have washed stuff in the water bowel outside.

In the last week 2 limbs have busted off my neighbors Avocado Tree at night and landed on my Property and each time I heard something run across the top of my Shed. Raccoons again. They are the only things that go up into the tree heavy enough to break a branch.

I have a goat story. My Mothers friends dropped off their Goats at my Mothers House for her to take care of them while here friends were on vacation. By the time her Friends got back that Goat's eyes were swollen and runny.
As it turns out you cannot just feed goats grass which is what happened and caused the runny eyes.

I guess I will tell the Snake Story. Where I worked a Guy said he and his friends went out to the Desert and caught a large Rattle Snake which they brought back with them.

Once they were back the City they realized they could not just let the Snake go because it might bite someone.

He had read you can eat Snakes. So he skinned and gutted the Snake an cut it up and started frying it. All 4 of his buddies said they would not eat any.

But, as he cooked it each of his Buddies came up and tried a piece after which they would return for other pieces. He said pretty soon the whole Snake was gone.
