One could rent a mansion located in a Mississippi backwater for what you would pay to rent a studio in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Yet, I don’t see too many tumbleweeds rolling down Park Avenue. Odd...

Wrong. I think democrats should practice what they preach. Huge difference. As it is, they have overpriced the consumer in a quick rich scheme.

Why do you think they are butt-hurt over the standard deduction and tax law that capped real estate taxes? Serves them right.

They cannot afford to live anywhere...hence the label "homeless". They choose to live in cities because there are ways to survive there that don't exist in the less populated areas.

What would you have them do?

The problem is, that hurt people in blue states, not democrats. The people that are affected aren’t only democrats ya know.

Here's what you do: Rent a fleet of buses and go to a big city in a blue state. Fill them up with the homeless from that city, and bus them to one of those idyllic affordable-rent areas in a red state.

It just keeps getting better. I learned ILLinois can track out of state purchases made with debit/credit cards and impose back taxes for items like cigarettes (and eventually) alcohol. I suppose a way around this for those close to the state borders is to buy these items with cash.

They also amended the process for tax collections on trade-in values when purchasing new vehicles.

"Trade-ins for property similar to the purchase, such as trading in a used vehicle during the purchase of a new vehicle at a car dealership, have traditionally been exempt from sales tax. SB690 caps that exemption at $10,000 of value, meaning amounts above that will now be subject to sales tax."

Then there's the new "Rain Tax".

Where does it stop?

Nice! You essentially get to pay sales tax twice for the purchase of one item...

What would you have them do?
Them? As if it's their fault. Classic.

I would have DEMOCRATS fix their CITIES to be fully inclusive of the wide disparity in income they create.

Most are. It slammed blue states and cities harder than red states, that's a fact.

Democrats do it all the time by deflating value. It's called rent control. And that isn't what I am advocating. My plan is far more "touchy feely," it would require low income housing to be built in GATED COMMUNITIES.

Your logic is very flakey and flawed.
