Bob Dylan's rolling thunder review

I've really never been much of a Bob Dylan fan....as a singer. Tonight the Mrs. is gone and I watched the above 2 hr. documentary with him singing nearly every song.

It was interesting to watch him from time to time go from this intense person perhaps singing something that out raged him to a person communicating with another band member, a look or in one case took a playful punch at a guy who came up and said something funny to him then turned back to the mike and was all business again.

I have always ridiculed his voice and lack of singing prowess, but he makes it work with emphasis and timing when watched in person.

I bought his Hurricane album back in 75 when it came out. There were only about two songs on it I can stand to listen to, so it is like new. Great show....on Netflix.

Post Dylan

Many are not aware of the massive amount of music he produced, he also wrote many Country songs....

Some of his stuff is kinda hard to listen to but he's amazingly talented .

maybe needs to remarket his music, cause today no one can hold a tune. They either talk, sing off key,or scream like demons from hell.

Post Good Music

I just buy used CD's......

I just discovered an album I paid $3 new for in 1972 is prolly worth $50 + now....

Go to Church thrift stores and so on ~ mixed in with the crappy CD's are always a few good ones and rarely over $2 .

Post Skipping CD Players

Your needs cleaning if that's the case ~ my 240D shakes and vibrates like a paint mixer at speed, I only have one CD that skips and I'm sure once I polish it, the skipping will stop .

Talking

O.K., now I understand .

Many years ago I chanced upon a Mercedes with CD changer, remote and so on that had *just* been dropped in the junkyard, the battery and ignition keys were still in it ~

I thought long and hard and decided to pass .

Nowadays I see lots of MB branded CD changers in the trunk but the usual suspects normally open them with pry bars to get to the CD's that they never take any way and leave discarded along with the now ruined CD changer....

Stupid is as stupid does .

Post Music is A Window To Your SOUL

It's all out there ! .

I buy CD's now and then and play them when we're traveling mostly .

SWMBO doesn't like it when I play Lucille Bogan or other pre war Blues singers, they always love it ~ I think teaching young folks various types of music is a good thing, no one forces them to listen to rap crap .

One of my 12 Y.O. Foster boys was thrilled when I popped in Johnny Cash's greatest hits....

Post Music & Things

Yes, pre WWII Female Blues singers really capture an America that's long gone .

I feel for you getting a ticket but you didn't say what for .

I've skated on tickets so many times I decided to just shut up and pay up when I get one, it's been years now and I haven't slowed down any .

OTOH, I never, ever roll stops nor fail to use my turn signals even when it's 0-Dark:30 and no other traffic, I watch others and they all roll stops and so on then say ' ! I did not !' when they damnwell knew they just did .

Ticket prices are crazy these days, I doubt you can get finished with one for under $150 and to those of us on fixed incomes that's a LOT .

I took the boys to hear Dylan a few years back and it was a hot mess of him trying to remember the words and his band was all WTF did we sign on for.
Artists need to know when to hang it up, performance wise.
