This may not apply to you. I have read that if one takes in more calories than needed the body turns up the metabolism to burn them off raising temp and causing perspiration.

Reducing the amount of clothing you wear at home. Might reduce the amount of perspiration. In sweating the body is trying to cool down. It provides moisture to evaporate lowering the body temperature.

For fungal issues anywhere on my Body I use NutriBiotic GSE (that is grape fruit seed extract) 25 drops in one ounce of tap water in a spray bottle that I repurposed. You can make it as strong or weak as you want and it is ultimately extremely cheap.

Although I agree that older I seem to sweat more besides the mentioned spray for any sort of chafing I use Walmart after sun gel which is a concoction of alovera. It does not seem to stain clothing and has some slight antibiotic and antifungal properties.

My Stepfather did something that I absolutely could not stand because I hate the smell of anti-prispirants (spelling?).
He would spray his arm pits, whole chest and groin area with an anti-prispirant spray and was happy with that. He probably would have sprayed his back but my Mother was blind and could not do it for him.

I can occasionally use an anti-prispirant under arms but the stuff in general gives me a headache.

The alovera gel is good for smelly arm pits (or groin for that matter) if you need to be presentable but don't have time for a shower. Once it dries it is not sticky and you don't need further deodorant.

There is other companies that sell the grape fruit seed extract but I have simply stuck with the same one.

If used properly the grape fruit seed extract can be used to kill the stuff that is in water if you were camping and filled your canteen up in a stream.
The one made for purifying water does not have glycerin but that is mainly a issue of taste not effectiveness.
People gargle and drink water with some grape fruit seed extract in it.

If you are interested on the uses of grape fruit seed extract you can google it.

The Alovera I use is not for drinking. But, I was at the VA Hospital and there was a guy that said he had to take a lot of pills several times a day and that drinking the Alovera that is made for internal use eased his stomach and digestion and made it easier to tolerate all of his oral meds.

Grape Fruit Seed Extract. Won't work in your diesel fuel.

Anyway I was just saying what I use. No one has to try it themselves.

Some uses for grapefruit seed extract: https://draxe.com/essential-oils/grapefruit-seed-extract/
"Works as a General Antimicrobial

Grapefruit seed extract benefits can be experienced when it’s taken by mouth for bacterial, viral and fungal infections, including yeast infections. (6) But there are also many grapefruit seed uses that don’t involve ingesting the extract. Due to its antimicrobial activities, grapefruit seed extract is commonly included in many throat sprays, nasal sprays, ear drops, mouth washes, toothpastes, shower gels, wound disinfectant sprays and other personal care products. Instead of using unnatural and synthetic preservatives, many natural companies turn to grapefruit seed extract for its ability to preserve a product by killing unwanted bacteria."

"Other antimicrobial uses of grapefruit seed extract include:
•In laundry — to kill fungi and bacteria, add 10 to 15 drops to the final rinse
•In carpet cleaners — to kill pathogenic organisms
Sterilizing and disinfecting operating rooms
•In nebulizers — one drop GSE to one ounce saline water for control of respiratory infections
•In humidifiers — three to four drops per gallon of water to prevent algae growth
•As a better preservative than most chemical preservatives currently on the market
•Disinfecting surfaces — when mixed with water in a spray bottle, it’s great for disinfecting cutting boards and other kitchen as well as bathroom surfaces
•In hot tubs and swimming pools — GSE is added to lessen the need for high levels of chlorine
•Farming — farmers use the extract in animal feed and water to reduce the incidence of infectious diseases"

"Do not confuse Grapefruit Seed Extract with Grape Seed Extract – though both are healthy – it is “Grapefruit” Seed Extract (abbreviated as GSE or GFSE) that works as a natural antibiotic with anti-viral, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal properties."

Well I did not even know their was Gape Seed Extract. I will have to look that up sometime.

Post Body Odor

Actually it depends on the individual person .

Decades ago I had a girl friend who smelled strongly of garlic no matter what she did .

I notice as I age that my arm pits smell sooner than they did thirty years ago and yes, I like to bathe daily, more often if I'm working and get sweaty ~ I dislike sleeping unless I'm freshly bathed .

Many prefer to bathe in the morning when they get up .

Sadly, more and more people simply don't bathe often or well ~ the funk changes odor after a few days.....

I had to stop getting my morning coffee at one 7-11 store because I don't think that guy bathed weekly .

Whew .

I also had a customer in the 1970's who never brushed his teeth ~ they were GREEN and had fluffy stuff on them.... .
