Truck tree trimming service

Isn't that special, they trimmed the tree so trucks could pass underneath.

More than likely the trucks doing their own regular maintenance one day at a time. I am surprised that the utility does not do regular maintenance around those wires.

LOL - this is how we do it around here CMAC:). This thing is impressive as all get out.

Tree Trimming

Agreed, it looks like the trucks are brushing against the branches and trimming them .

I have trees that need trimming, the tree huggers @ city hall had them extend my power drop instead .

Lunatics running the asylum .

Say it ain't so!

Agreed on the wires. The tree is all around those. I likes me some trees all right but that thing should have been trimmed way back a long time ago.

Took a bus tour in Ireland, the buses keep the hedges trimmed on the curves.

Out here the Trees between the sidewalk and the road belong to the City. The City does what they want with them.
They don't want you trimming their trees and you can call them and they eventually come and do it if it actually needs it.
When I move into the house there was a huge Pepper Tree in the City's area. One of the years a large branch broke off; a near miss on my House. I called for them to trim it and they removed it instead (the roots had bucked the side walk and curb).

like 20 years later the City actually asked if they wanted a tree panted there and I got to say no. At My other house the city does not give you a choice and they plant a tree.

For some reason a Tree does not grow well at my other house and it took the City since 1956 to finally plant one that would grow well.

In Dallas they rely on tornados.:)

I just spent a week there with a disaster relief organization Making the trees safe. I got lots of chain saw time on that trip and really pleased that my shoulder has healed to the point that I can do it.

Team Rubicon?

Air&Road 11-05-2019 04:38 AM

Nope, never saw a Team Rubicon. The organization I deploy with is Texas Baptist Men. Very organized and well equipped. Skid steers, man lifts and equipment trailers. Very effective in spite of the fact that we are almost all retirement age. Very rewarding.

That helicopter trimmer duty looks pretty hazardous.

Autoputzer 11-13-2019 11:28 PM

Yeah, that looks like ****. But, the alternative is to cut the whole tree down. So, go give that tree a hug.

Trees

I love trees, they give shade and make oxygen but only it they're on someone else's property ! .

I hate the endless leaves, buckled sidewalks and so on .

"N.I.M.B.Y." I know, oh well .

BTW : if ever you get the chance to ride in a helicopter, DO IT ! .

Mucho fun, both the tourist flights and the police ride alongs .

Squiggle Dog 11-16-2019 08:35 PM

As a truck driver, you certainly don't want those trees hanging too low over the road. They can cause major damage to the box on back. And, if you drive in the left lane (if there is one) then other drivers on the road will get upset. Someone has to make sure they don't cause damage to trucks. Trucks need to be on the road, too--everything in stores come by trucks.
