Sadly I love processed meats too although I've managed to stop eating them almost completely .

Fish in oil I don't like, water, mustard, tomato sauce, whatever is always a great meal .

I don't mind it in oil. I pour it out under some nearby bush. I can only imagine vegetable oil might be good for soil, would not harm it anyway.

Trader Joe's has a canned farmed trout offering. I ate one before noticing it was farmed. Guess I should have known, you don't hear about commercial harvests of wild trout. Stuff was pretty tasty, from what I've read trout farming not as bad as salmon. I don't eat it often. Bit spendy.

I was a bit shocked to learn that sardine is somewhat fished out here and there.
