You’re doing the most important thing for him, talking to him. Too many parents miss that part. Sounds like he has good guidance. He’ll make it.

Yes, I actually take the time to listen to my Foster boys, they educate me quite a bit and I try to teach them it's right and proper to wonder about things and ask questions and seek answers .

Post When To Check Out

Maybe ~

I'm ready to go at any time but I'm still enjoying life and wonder what comes next .

Those who lived through the 1950's and 1960's saw incredible changes occur and I wonder what the future brings .

My grandfather was born before the Wright Brothers first flight, and died after we sent men to the moon.

Look at the scope of that.

Thumbs up

My point exactly .

Most are afraid of death, it's coming sooner or later so no worries for me ~ I'd like (I *think*) to see some changes like your Granpa did .

I have like yourself have seen many changes in my lifetime. Death of course is not to fear. Getting there can present some issues. Fast and easy is not guaranteed.

Unfortunatly after my time I think a major war is coming. Of course I hope not. Yet it could even happen in my remaining time. I see nothing so far being done yet to reduced the probabilities. Just the opposite.

If the projections for global warming are real. Will also change everything over time as well. Especially food production. There is no way to really give an accurate time projection.

The seasonal storms will intensify and weather patterns change. Global warming does seem to be moving faster than originally projected.

I don’t wish that on anyone. Of course if you’re living an unhealthy lifestyle, it increases the likelihood of your wish.

My Grandfather also. Born in 1882, died in 1970. I used to say he had seen it all, but now I don’t honk he saw much. It’s my generation that has seen so much drastic change. Technologically and societally. Not all of it for the better.

I think that global economic collapse in some form is more likely to happen before global war. The only way that “global warming” could cause trouble is if enough people are gullible enough to believe it to the point of it becoming a panic of some sort. The climate has been changing daily since the beginning of time and will continue to do so.

Boy, howdy, you ain't kidding ! .

I remember in 1972 I was listening to a talk radio show and the guy was going on about how computers were going to change everything in a few short years ~ I actually called and said "no way !" .

How little I knew, right ? .

I wasn't interested in computers until someone showed me you could talk to others (back then via a BBS, remember those ?) , I was hooked because I love learning and knew I'd be able to find parts and technical info so easily....

I've made many new friends and learned so much thanx to computers .

I remember Dick Tracy's "Wrist Gee-Nee" ~ a talking radio dispatch wrist watch that seemed like Buck Rodgers foolishness but here we are now .

When we moved here 40 plus years ago. I felt at times that many things would not be easily available. The internet fixed that issue fast enough and still does.
