Getting a little boring 'round here!

This self isolating is beginning to get tiresome. I'm in a "super high risk" group (ahem "older age", lost most of a lung a few years ago due to advanced pneumonia, still sneak the occasional smoke, etc.) so I'm avoiding almost all contact with people. Can't stand television and am retired. Not even any kids running around the neighborhood to yell at.

Been doing a lot of things around the house I've put off. Lighting, painting, patching, furniture cleaning, you name it.

Got so bad today I went through and sorted all my resistors, diodes, micro-switches, etc. into little labeled containers.

Thinking about throwing all my sockets into the ultra sound cleaner and tumbler just to clean them. Already rebuilt/cleaned my ratchets and polished my end wrenches.

Taxes, trying to get the landscaping done in our home. A lot of specialty stores are by appointment only. Very thankful for UPS/Fedex. So what's the deal with Russia? Pandemic Seems like it's not a problem there...

Hang Tough

Hang in there Mike ! .

Kaiser X-Rayed my lungs a week ago when I had a 102* temperature, said they're wrecked, good thing I gave up smoking .

It's been raining so I can't go out into my back yard and work on my projects .

I've been social distancing my self in my trucklet driving out the smaller canyon back roads .

My son and I had a nice long 'phone call this evening, they're doing O.K. , kids, wife and he .

We'll get through this too, not much fun for me, I dislike being inside / idle although I'm getting a lot of reading done, I love reading and can bang out 1,000 pages in 12 hours now .

oh yeah motor mounts. going I guess to use ac evap, to use as trans cooler. Did that before long ago, really make trans last. W140s are bad at internal radiator trans cooler rotting, causing coolant in trans. I block off ends on rad, then run hose pumping from trans to top line,so gravity takes it to pan in trans. parts extra hose two clamps per connection. Old hot rod magazine trick for auto's. Don't like AC, waste fuel, and bones hurt worse. To expensive to repair AC too. Never over 96f here in summer.

Post Spark Plugs

As mentioned, check the heat range and always the gap too ~ most engines need at least an .035" gap, some larger .

Also, make sure you're not using platinum plugs ~ for some reason I don't understand they tend to run cooler than regular plugs, I tried them but was never happy because they'd foud easily in carburated engines, I went to the rce track and asked my son and the other Mechanics, they all said 'platinum plugs run tool cold' .

Try the gap and heat range thing first before you go further afield .
