virus beard

I have not shaved since sequestering myself. I don't plan to trim until we are back to normalcy. I may qualify to be in ZZ top by then

Deion Sanders appears in a new NFL ad (about 4:48 here) with what might be CV beard. I saw it in a much shorter clip somewhere else.

I gave up and shaved finally the other day. I was starting to look like an old character coot in a western movie of the fifties.

I shave twice a week or so. Need to look somewhat presentable for work.

I would think that unless you have absolutely quarantined yourself for three weeks that is not a good plan. How well can a face mask seal over facial hair, or how much longer can the virus survive in a beard?

The kinky beard hair is an excellent filter!

I have had a full beard since about 25. It's shorter and greyer now. Still have to shave the above/below areas.

What am I missing? What makes the virus and a beard go together. I thought a shaved face would be more sanitary. I’ve shaved almost every day of my adult life. I feel dirty if I don’t shave. Don’t get me wrong, for those who prefer a beard, more power to you. I just don’t understand the link between the virus and a beard.

There is no link as such. Just an opportunity to skip shaving since I am not seeing many people.

Letting the beard go is sort of an equivalent of hanging around the house Sunday morning in your skivvies.
