Talking What The Heck (ANTI-covid-19 rant)

Hell ;

I'm going crazy indoors and not getting any younger to boot so I bought another Motocycle to day, a Brazilian made 1984 Honda CB125S .

It has 5 speeds and weighs very little, just the thing for a disabled old man to putter 'round on whilst waiting to die .

I don't know if anyone here likes Motos, or maybe has any old shop manuals or owner's booklets for these CB125S, they were made and sold world wide from 197? to the late 1980's.....

Someone should have an old book in their garage or basement, it needn't be pretty, I just need info, I stopped working as a Honda Motocycle Mechanic before this was built .

Any ideas, help or tips will be gratefully accepted .

TIA,

Exclamation Pictures

Well ;

I'd love to post up photos but I'm not allowed to in spite of others being allowed to post HUGE attachments .

Talk to the moderators here and I'll be happy to share my Moto and technical images too, I used to be allowed and they post anywhere else, just NOT HERE .

When I was young and dumb and rode Harleys, I used to smirk 'if I have to explain it to you, you're never understand' .

Then I got older and crippled and i still ride and realized, it's true : it's very difficult to explain, no need to smirk and act superior, it just is .

I love riding even though it's almost killed me twice and I'm now crippled for life because of it .

Why I bought a lightweight bike this time, I still have my old BMW but don't like riding it as much as I used to .

No worries, as long as I can get the breeze between my knees I'll be happy .

Those who ride wheelies in traffic are retards who are compensating for something else being too small.....

I've been riding over 50 years now and will ride a three wheeler if I am forced to .

Have you tried giving us a link to your pictures posted in another forum?

You're not banned from posting photos. There are file size limits. Shrink your photos to 1000x1000 pixels or less or upload to an image hosting service and embed the link (that's how people usually post photos).

Or you can upload them to a photo site like google and then supply the link to that between these[IMG][/IMG] and it will show the image.

I have not a clue of why my motorcycle service manuals are at the cottage. I thought for some time about those I have. Concluded not too probable there is one on that bike model in the pile.

I have no idea how to re size the images, I can't believe others have smaller images when they won't fit in any screen....

That's because they're hot-linked images from an image hosting site such as Imgur, Google Photos, Flickr, or Photobucket. There's no size limit on embedded photos since they're not hosted on this site's server.

I feel fine and I got a notice back on my covid-19 test, they require a registration before giving any news, of course their site is FUBAR and I cannot register.....

I hope I'm not a vector but who the hell knows ? .

It's a fun, simple scooter. Keep the oil clean, cam chain tight and valves loose. Set the timing at full advance with a strobe. Points 0.012 valves 0.002 0.003
If you run it without a battery it will blow the headlight.

I don't know this website but they say you can download the manual:

Those little sounded wonderful. I rode a lot of dirt bikes in the seventies, but never a CB. I bet it’s a hoot. Don’t get caught riding it right now by one of the Corona police on this forum.

Enjoy!

BTW, I bet it would look good in the bed of that great truck you’ve fixed up. They would go good together.

I prefer paper manuals but sometimes you have to improvise. It might not be the right year though:

Whoops! I just saw that twitch had posted a .pdf too. Oh well.

I hope the bike gives you some fresh air and enjoyment outside the house. I’m headed to the lake this morning to see if there really are bass where the sonar shows them to be. If we’re fishing then we’re not cooped up in the house.
